I try to get as much writing out there, where anyone and not only some folks in academia can read it. Also, I try to enhance the interdisciplinary research on gender via the En-Gender journal of which I am a founding member.
Especially topics on the intersection of religion and feminism, the history of the empire and South Asia, gender and race in these times are central to what I want people to engage in. I am happy to respond to media inquiries on these topics and how they not only relate but are immensely important for our present.
These are my recent writings:
“Religion and Feminism?”, LSE Religion and Global Society.
“Empowerment innerhalb des Glaubens”, TAZ Hamburg, Interview.
“75 Jahre Bikini”, SWR2, Interview.
„Sri Lanka – Bildung, Religion, Feminismus„, Gender-Blog (Netzwerk Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung NRW), 27 April 2021. Awarded by 17 Goals Magazine.
“Religion and Feminism? A way to look at their relationship from an intersectional and postcolonial view”, LSE International History.
„In Search for Superwoman: Feminist Eugenicists Within a Global Religious History„, Scottish Centre for Global History, 22 Feb 2021.
